A Tale of a Christmas Gift

During this Christmas season as we celebrate the birth of the Christ child, gather with families, and bear gifts, many of us take time to reflect upon the gifts we have been given.  As the year draws to a close,  I want to share with each of you a tremendous gift of mine -  “The SSM Family”.  I am grateful for our Parent Partners, who pour into the lives of the kids we serve, church partners, who open their doors, Board of Directors, who have supported and mentored us each step of the way, donors who give generously, and the SSM staff, who work tirelessly and make it look easy.

Adam, Kristi, Nancy, and Sandy are all precious gifts to me. God has blessed the ministry through each one of the SSM staff.   They each have different strengths and work in unity for the calling and mission God has set before us.  This team works selflessly every day and is a beautiful example of Colossians 3:24, working for the Lord.

Outside of their work they walk with God in powerful ways within their homes and churches.   I am grateful to have each of them by my side and watch them live out being created as workmanship of the Father.  I am blessed that some of their good works they were created for include the ministry of SSM.  The gift is having the opportunity to watch them walk in these good works everyday at SSM.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them”

Ephesians 2:10
